When no one sees the war anymore

God is always good.
Our world is always changing. Right now, there are talks of
peace between Hezbollah and Israel in Lebanon.
In Syria, a long-time dictator has been removed.
But at the same time, South Sudan is on the edge
of another civil war.
Refugees are watching these changes carefully, waiting for a time when it might be safe to return home. In other places, new people are being forced to flee and become refugees. It’s heartbreaking—but it’s also something Jesus warned us would happen.
Matthew 24:6–8 says “You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains.”
Even when peace is announced, refugees often don’t feel safe returning home right away. That’s why your support is so important. Because of you, we’re still there for them, providing care and love, even after the news has moved on. Refugee Relief will not walk away from these families.
Through it all, one thing is true: God is in control. I’m reminded of Rich Mullins’ song “While the Nations Rage” based on Psalm 2: “Why do the nations rage? Why do they plot and scheme? Their bullets can’t stop the prayers we pray in the name of the Prince of Peace ... Who will love while the nations rage?”
I’m praying for you and so thankful for your partnership in this mission.
