Peace does not mean return for refugees

Though the fighting may end in some refugee’s home countries, going home is not that simple

As hard as life can be in Bidibidi, returning to home for Grace, a refugee from South Sudan, isn’t much of an option. There are no schools in South Sudan. She knows that without an education, her children don’t have much of a future. Leaving what she knows means yet more uncertainty.
Even if she could go home, it would mean returning without her husband, who was killed recently in the camp.
Grace is not alone. Many refugee women are widows and afraid to return home without their husbands or lost family members. They fear that going home will mean yet more loss.
